Welcome to the Digital City Lab! We are collecting self-produced posts about Frankfurt in collaboration with many users. Audio, video, image and text contributions can be uploaded and shared with the community on the map. By doing this, a growing and collaborative collection of knowledge specific to Frankfurt is established. A changing selection of contributions will also be shown in the permanent exhibition “Frankfurt Now!”.
The project aims to collect digital faces of users. It is all about how everyday life feels in Frankfurt, which places play a particular role and what the city means for you. Where do people argue, party and work? Which spaces belong to which community? How do you use the city? The answers to these questions are best formulated through digital means: you can share your view of Frankfurt with us and with the community through short video messages, photo series, audio recordings and statements.
Thanks to the participation of many different groups and users, a new collection is emerging here. A collection consisting of digital contributions – one which shows the life of different Frankfurters at the beginning of the 21st century. As a museum, we have experience in conserving objects that recount history. Even digital contributions should be conserved and maintained for future generations. But what is worth keeping? Which topics, trends and discussions should definitely be documented?
